Nasza szkoła nawiązała współpracę z Fundacją Girls Future Ready z USA , której celem jest wsparcie procesu nauczania języka angielskiego  w tym trudnym czasie.  Projekt #togetherforteachers # łączy polskich nauczycieli języka angielskiego z amerykańskimi mentorami: nauczycielami, studentami pedagogiki, bądź osobami niezwiązanymi ze szkolnictwem, które zgłosiły chęć udziału w  programie i wzbogacenia lekcji kierowanych do polskich uczniów.

Uczniowie klas VI-VIII za pomocą komunikatora ZOOM mają możliwość wzięcia udziału w lekcjach online z lektorką USA. Wolontariuszka Lina z Kalifornii przeprowadziła już zajęcia dla klas VI. Jako miłośniczka fotografii podzieliła się galerią swoich prac, przeprowadziła również warsztaty orgiami dla uczniów.  Lina z przyjemnością chce poświęcić swój czas z uczniami naszej szkoły i pragnie przedstawić się uczestnikom zajęć oraz ich rodzicom.

Dear Ms. Miszczyńska,

Thank you for reaching out to me! I would love to introduce myself to you, as well as parents and students in your class: I’m Lina Huang, a high schooler from California. I’ve lived in California my whole life, but I attend high school in the East Coast, where I had to adjust to the cold weather. In school, I write regularly for the weekly student-led newspaper and for our science magazine. I also compete in several science clubs and in classical language competitions where, since I actually take Chinese at school, I mostly learn about myths. In my free time, I enjoy portrait photography, though I’ve been branching out more this spring. In light of the COVID-19 epidemic and California’s shelter-in-place order, I’ve also picked up some origami again, though I’ve mostly been making paper cranes and stars.

I’ve tutored students before for math in middle school and science in high school, and helping friends with a wide variety of subjects, but this is the first time I’ve gotten involved in a project like this. As such, I’m not entirely sure how I can best help, but I would love to answer questions and give tips on speaking English and American culture.

I’m really excited to start this project, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to help your students! I look forward to hearing more from you, and I hope you stay safe and well!
