About the project

If you’re a teacher and want to help your pupils learn about the EU and how it works. If you want to know about what the EU does, how it all started and how it works. Learning in a playful way, creative and motivating. Using active and modern methodologies that motivate students to work on the theme of ‘Europe’ in class and at school. This way we want to teach about Europe at school not only to develop knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes and to embed fundamental European values, but also to help students to become active, responsible, open-minded members of the European society. Our students being interested in learning about people, places, and traditions from around Europe and realize the infinite adventures and possibilities beyond my immediate community.

Aims

Teaching Europe at school not only to develop knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes and to embed fundamental European values, but also to help students to become active, responsible, open-minded members of the European society.

Work process

The project starts on February for a 4 month period. Project partners share a Twinspace for project results and use G-drive for creating the tasks. The students work in small individual groups at the start of the project. Once they know each other, project work will be done in mixed international groups. All partners share their information on a weekly basis.

Expected results

The project results are shared on a project Twinspace. We would work on the project subjects ideas:

-games from around Europe

-celebrations, holidays, and festivals

-recipes that please even the most discerning tummies

-multicultural

-art

-films

-music

-students literature related to european cultures

-map-reading, geography, and geo-literacy activities

-travel

-mapping the European Union

For a start students get to know each other by making a avatar, used during the project.
