chicken-little

Chicken Little” – book review

Nagle Kurczak zauważył kawałek ,,nieba” i pośpiesznie przykrył go kocem.

Polecam!!!

dangerous-weather

Dangerous Weather” – book review by Milena Juniak Vb

This book tells about the dangerous weather: tornadoes, hurricanes and other forces of nature. It is illustrated with incredible pictures of tornadoes, the damages and the different areas of the Earth. Some of them are really scary.

While reading you can learn a lot about a climate, for example:in June it is summer in the north but winter in the south of the Earth. You can also read about rain and flood. A strong wind can pick up some frogs and drop them in another place! Another force of nature is ice and snow. I read that dogs help people in avalanches, they can find people in the snow. The most scary are strong winds, they can cause terrible damage. Tornadoes can suck heavy things up into the air – even cars!

The times of mammoths and dinosaurs are also described in the book.

Then the comic ”The Weather Machine” which describes adventures of Joel and Katie.

Remember some rules when there is a storm near you:

1.DO NOT stand under a tree.

2.DO NOT stay in water.

3.DO NOT walk through a field or up hill.

I recommend this book. If you would like to know more about the world around us read “Dangerous Weather” book. You can borrow it from our English library.
